Morning mantras to empower your day

Morning mantras for self empowerment

Mantras are a wonderful practice. They can be used to connect you to Spirit, open your heart and empower you and your day.

Some people have their own mantras that they say every day. These mantras may have been given to them by their spiritual teacher or guru, or maybe they found them in a book, on the Internet or heard in a song.

But your ‘mantra’ doesn’t have to be in another language or to a God you don’t feel connected to. Though if you do that is super cool too. I do love a good Ganesha chant, but I digress…

Positive affirmations

So instead of waking up and saying “Om Namah Shivaya”, or “Om Mani Padme Hum”, say “Today is going to be a great day” or “Today I am going to try to focus on the good”.

I am calling them morning mantras but you do not have to limit them to the morning.

They are intentions for the day, so repeat them throughout the day and see how effective they can be.

After a few weeks, you will notice your mind becoming more aware and you will start to catch yourself out when you are not being true to your morning wishes.

It might help to stick with the same mantra for a week or more as you train your mind to be more positive, gentle and aware.

Once you have noticed your morning mantra has become a new way of thinking, think of another aspect of your life that needs attention and choose a mantra for that.

You may need to go back to some mantras now and then to give yourself a bit of a reminder while others might not need much time at all. It all depends on your thought patterns and how deeply certain ideas and habits are ingrained.

Stubborn and tricky thoughts

Some thoughts as you know have a habit of hanging on.

Think about how long it took for certain thoughts to form, it will take the same amount of energy and repetition to remove them. But don’t worry it can be done, all you need is the right intention and awareness.

To help everyone on their way I have decided to start an ongoing post on morning mantras/affirmations.

Morning ‘mantras’ to empower your day

  • Today is going to be a great day
  • Today I am going to try to focus on the good
  • I will smile more today
  • Yesterday is gone, today is here
  • I will remember to breathe better
  • Positive thoughts, positive actions, positive me
  • It’s good to be alive
  • I am going to acknowledge all the good things that happen today
  • My emotions don’t control me
  • Eat well
  • Find time for silence and stillness
  • And for the last mantra a quote from a very great man Gandhi “Be the change you want to see in the world”

But don’t just use mine. MAKE YOUR OWN. They will be much more powerful if you make them. Sit down and connect to your heart. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT AND LET IT FLOW.

Just make sure whatever mantras you create empower and encourage.

Limiting beliefs and circumstances

Positive affirmations are great and can and do work. But not always, unfortunately.

If you struggle to believe what you are saying or have very limited beliefs then it will be hard for your mind to accept what you are saying. And that could just make you feel even worse.

A lot of our limiting beliefs are generational but others have been developed through many lifetimes including this one. If your life is anything but rosy it will be hard to accept these ideas.

But that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to in the future.

It just means you need to get some help first.  If your negative belief system and/or life has resulted in anxiety, depression or another mental health issue then you should seek professional help. Maybe you need medication to lift you out of it, maybe you need help removing yourself from an unhealthy or dangerous situation. Or maybe you need to see a therapist.

I can offer you healings to energetically remove blocks, ad beliefs that are holding you back. We can work with past lives and other interdimensional issues that may be blocking you. Or we can just talk.

Whatever you choose is up to you.

And making the choice and taking the step to get help is more empowering than any of these mantras.

And if this does not apply to you, then consider yourself very lucky.

Wherever you are on your journey to self-love and empowerment I wish you all the best.
