Walking along a Spiritual path is not all love and light. We live in a universe made up of polarities so for every bit of love there is hate and for all the light there is darkness. And when you start to really ‘do the work’ you start to see this more clearly.
I think some people think that us spiritual people just fluff about and try to escape reality or try to live in a world of illusion.
But it is the exact opposite.
When you are delving deep into your subconscious and opening up into the multidimensional universe so much is revealed. And it’s not always easy.
But it is definitely worth it!
There is so much more to you and the universe you live in than meets the eye. And it is only by going through the darkness and the challenges that you can really grow.
The spiritual path is the path less travelled for a reason. It takes a lot of courage and a lot of determination. And it takes a firm belief in something greater than you. Whatever that means for you. And it also takes a belief in miracles and magic!
The most amazing things happen when you walk the path of a spiritual seeker.
But because the universe is a place of polarities there is both light and dark along the way.
The Light along the path
The light is the bliss, the ecstasy and the thing that keeps us going. IT FEEDS OUR SOULS and is the destination of our journey.
Angels, higher states of consciousness and feels of euphoria are all part of the light. And let’s not forget love and peace!
The more spiritual work we do the more light we are able to hold and the more bliss we are able to experience.
But unfortunately the more we expand and grow the more will be revealed. Both good and bad. So we need to release and clear all that is not in alignment with love and the light.
Challenges along the spiritual path
None said it was easy! It is often referred to a climbing a mountain. It’s hard but when you get to the top the view is breathtaking!
But I always relate it back to one of my favourite spiritual movies – THE MATRIX! Remember when the guy wishes he had taken the other pill? So he could go back to being ignorant? Well, you will have many of those times along the path.
You will be challenged in so many ways and there will be times when you will just want to give it all up and just go back to the life you had before.
I have never given it up but I have definitely needed a bit of time out. My spiritual teacher always says – it is a marathon, not a sprint. And it is so true!
Don’t get me wrong there will be times when you are going in leaps and bounds and having the most amazing experiences. Clearing lifetimes of blocks and pain and you feel amazing. And then there are ties when you are in – your – shit!
When you feel like you are being rubbed with sandpaper. This is what I refer to as growing pains.
It’s hard but they pass and you pop out the other side you are in so much BLISS that you know it was all with it.
Kinda sounds like having a baby.
And you are in a way. You are constantly rebirthing yourself as you progress along your spiritual path. You are constantly growing and evolving. It’s actually referred to in the bible as going through the eye of a needle. You will be squeezed as all the gunk is removed but again it’s so so worth it!
Know your worth
You will be tested a tried as you grow to more light and your truth. But as that happens all that is not ‘love and light’ revealed itself. And this can be really hard to see and own.
But you have to remember – everyone has darkness. And it’s the only way to grow.
So love yourself through it. And know that no matter what comes up you are worthy.
It’s all just a test. But stay strong and know that everyone goes through the same thing. it’s part of the path and part of our spiritual development.
So keep strong and surround yourself with supportive people and always ask for help when you need it.
Which leads me to…..
Find your tribe
But I could never have done it without the support of my teacher, my community and a whole lot of healing work!
I do not recommend doing it alone. It’s too hard. You need support. And you need to be with people who understand what you are going through.
You need to be able to talk to people about what you are going through. PEOPLE WHO GET YOU. And if you are not on a spiritual path you just don’t understand. So find your people. Find your tribe. And stick with them. Lean on them and grow with them.
We are social beings. We need the support of others.
Plus it is so amazing to fully share the joy and the bliss. Only those who walk the path know what this feels like too. It’s not something you can explain. It’s something you have to experience.
